Concept

In this project, I developed packaging for Kitchen Deluxe’s 250 ml and 500 ml reusable bottle 6 packs for off price retail environments like Marshalls, HomeGoods, and Bealls. The challenge was to make a straightforward bottle multipack feel more elevated, giftable, and solution driven in a crowded kitchen and storage category where many competing products read as generic plastic containers. I approached the design not as just a bottle carrier, but as a better looking and more useful prep, pour, and everyday organization system for shoppers browsing fast and buying on impulse.

The first step was thinking about why someone would choose this set over similar reusable bottle packs on shelf. In this retail environment, shoppers respond to products that feel premium, practical, and instantly understandable, so the packaging needed to communicate quality, reusability, storage convenience, and multiple use cases all at once. That meant building a story around everyday juice prep, grab and go drinks, fridge organization, meal prep, and repeated household use rather than treating the product like a plain beverage container set.

From there, I explored product naming directions that could better frame the bottles within the Kitchen Deluxe brand system. For the smaller and larger formats, I tested names like Daily Juice Bottles, Fresh Fill Bottles, Grab & Go Bottles, Smoothie & Juice Bottles, and other variants that made the set feel more intentional and lifestyle oriented. This stage was about finding language that gave the product a stronger retail identity while still being clear enough for a shopper to understand immediately.

Once the naming direction was established, I focused on the front of pack hierarchy and material story. Kitchen Deluxe already had a visual language that used silver foil style material claims, so I developed short quality driven lines that could live in that system, such as premium glass bottles or premium BPA free plastic depending on the actual material. I made sure these lines felt technical and concise, more like quality stamps than descriptive sentences, so the pack could communicate value quickly while still fitting the existing brand architecture.

I also built out the icon system to support benefits that mattered most to the shopper without repeating claims that were already being handled elsewhere. Since reusable and leak proof were already in use, I shifted the icon story toward higher value supporting cues like food grade plastic, freezer safe, shatter resistant, easy to clean, and fridge friendly. This helped the package communicate real use benefits in a quick visual rhythm, which is especially important in the busy, treasure hunt style retail environment these products were meant for.

On the informational side, I developed care and use instructions that made the set feel more complete and trustworthy. I wrote guidance covering cleaning, dishwasher use, cold beverage use, freezer considerations, staining, and general safety so the packaging could answer practical questions before the customer even opened the product. I also translated the technical bottle specs into clean packaging lines for both formats, including ounce and milliliter capacity and dimensional information, making sure the larger 500 ml format clearly communicated its increased size and value.

Under the hood, I approached the project with the same production mindset I bring to all of my packaging work. I built the design as a real print ready retail system, considering bottle cutouts, hierarchy, format scaling between the 250 ml and 500 ml versions, and how the layout needed to flex while still feeling like one family. The final result was a more polished and more marketable bottle multipack that turned a basic utility product into a visually stronger Kitchen Deluxe storage and beverage solution.
